Keeping up with the tradition, Google, the search engine giant honours mothers around the world with an interactive doodle today.
Mother’s day is celebrated every year on the second Sunday of May and it is a day marked to show one’s appreciation towards our mothers. This occasion can be traced back to 1908 when Anna Jarvis held a memorial for her mother in United States. She then began a campaign to make Mothers Day a recognized holiday in the US .It became an official US holiday in 1914,
which was also adopted by other countries including India. Visitors are greeted with a warm and playful doodle and clicking on the play button starts an interactive session where one prepares a gift for his or her mother.
